Bader Yousif Murad is President and Chief Executive Officer of Bader Models which, since its formation in 1997 in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has become recognized amongst the elite of model makers worldwide. Many people know him for his famous aircraft models that experts refer to as the “Rolls Royce of all models.”

His world-renowned name has become associated with quality and outstanding detail. All aviation enthusiasts and model makers worldwide know him or have at least heard of him. His personality rewarded him our respect.

Mr. Murad insists on the most accurate detailing and highest quality finishing. As a result, he soon witnessed interest not just from model collectors but also from individuals seeking personalized replicas of their own private planes. Bader frequently gets enquiries from international elite circles and has handled orders from many members of the Gulf ruling families, other international royalty, and top international entertainers.

In the past three years Bader has gone beyond his skill and passion of aircraft models. He has developed his expertise to introduce top quality handmade architectural models. His works are on display throughout the world.

Bader’s success in model making also stems from his knowledge of the business. “You have to not only have the ideas, but also be able to execute them. Successful business people are tenacious; obstacles are temporary barriers to work around,” says Bader.

So what are the key ingredients that make Bader Murad so successful in his business? Bader explains that there are six elements that are key to being successful: being fully committed, having the desire coupled with the drive, having strong discipline and determination, and having a good knowledge of the business.

This dream began one day when a neighbor gave the little boy Bader a toy aircraft model. His fascination with it resulted in his becoming an avid collector thus opening a door to a future career and unique fame.

After graduating from college he started selling aircraft models from his bedroom through his website badermodels.com with a capital of $50,000. Currently, Mr. Murad is building his main office in the newly developed Bahrain International Investment Park at a cost of $1.5 million.

He recently opened his fifth international office in Doha after Chicago and Jeddah with future offices opening at two prime locations in Abu Dhabi, London and Los Angeles later on this year. Today, his company is worth over $20 million. Bader is the classic example of a true entrepreneur.

Bader Murad entered the Guinness Book of World Records in the year 2000 for his extensive aircraft models collection. And recently, education publisher Pearson in England featured his success story in its series of learning books published for worldwide distribution and target young readers who hope to one day follow in Bader’s footsteps.

During his spare time, Bader enjoys going to his stable checking on his horses and riding them. He likes collecting antique cars from the 30s and 40s, too. However, his main hobby is still collecting aircraft models. His favorite vacation spot is his private cottage on the mountains somewhere in Europe. He uses it for his comfort and relaxation during his private holiday time when he spends several weeks up there during summer and winter for hiking and skiing.
